Aircon Services in Morningside
Keep the aircons in your Morningside home, apartment or consulting rooms running cleanly. ARS offers aircon services in Morningside covering servicing, repairs, regassing and new installations, on all makes and models.
Morningside was established in 1950 on part of the old Zandfontein farm and is now one of Sandton's main residential and commercial suburbs, administered by the City of Johannesburg. Rivonia Road runs through it, just north of Sandton City, and it borders areas such as Strathavon, Benmore, River Club and Duxberry.
Aircon Services in Morningside Homes
The housing is varied. Freestanding homes sit on large erven, most with pools. Cluster developments offer big homes with 24-hour security, and apartments range from studios to large units, with new townhouse developments still going up. Each comes with its own aircon headaches: long pipe runs on big properties, body corporate rules in clusters, and limited condenser space on apartment balconies.
One local tip: with so many pools here, keep the outdoor unit away from where pool chemicals are stored. Chlorine fumes are corrosive and eat away at the fins and copper of the outdoor coil over time.
Regular aircon services in Morningside also catch the problems that summer storms leave behind. Lightning and the surge when power returns after load shedding can weaken a control board long before it fails outright, and a technician testing the electrics will often spot scorched connections or a swollen capacitor in time. Come winter, a clean reverse-cycle split heats a bedroom on much less electricity than a bar heater.
Consulting Rooms, Clinics and Retail
Morningside is also a medical node. Mediclinic Morningside is here, with Rochester Place next door housing many specialists' rooms, and more practices along Rivonia Road. Consulting rooms need quiet, steady cooling and clean filters, so scheduled aircon servicing or a maintenance plan suits them well.
Shops and restaurants at Morningside Shopping Centre and the small businesses around it have similar needs. When a unit does fail, we handle aircon repairs on site and regassing once a leak has been found and fixed.

Morningside Aircon Questions
Once a year is enough for most homes, ideally before summer. If the unit runs most of the day, or there are pets, a building site or heavy tree cover nearby, twice a year keeps it cleaner and more efficient.
Cleaning the filters, indoor coil and outdoor coil, clearing the drain line and tray, checking the fan motors, electrical connections and refrigerant pressures, and running the unit in cooling and heating to confirm it works properly.
Often, if the body corporate approves and there's enough airflow around the outdoor unit. Many sectional title schemes specify where condensers may go and how pipes must be hidden, so check the rules before you buy a unit.
Yes. We service and repair splits and cassettes in consulting rooms and offices, and we can schedule visits outside consulting hours where possible to avoid disrupting patients.
